Top 5 Favourite Foundations For Oily Skin

Hi guys, one thing you will find loads of in my make up stash is foundations. I have tried so many different ones over the years to try and get the right foundation to suit my skin so i thought I would share with you my favourite ones. My skin is quite oily in the t-zone area and is also prone to breakouts so most of these foundations will apply to that.

1. Inglot HD Cover Up Foundation

This is quite a new one in my collection, I have been using this everyday in work for the past few weeks and I absolutely love it. It is a medium to full coverage foundation. I set this with my Vichy dermablend powder which is a translucent setting powder and i find this great with my oily skin.

2. Mac Studio Fix Foundation

This was a firm favourite of mine for months before i started using the Inglot HD foundation. This is a great everyday foundation as it was perfect for my oily skin and I did not need to top up my foundation at all during the day. I really don't find the shade ranges great for me personally in this foundation as NW15 is quite orange for my skin and NW13 (which i use) is okay but quite pale in comparison to my other foundations. I set this with mac studio fix powder in NW15.

3. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

You cannot go wrong with double wear if you love full coverage or have oily skin. I love wearing this on a night out mainly for its coverage and stays on perfectly all night. The only downside with this foundation is the ghost face it gives in pictures, because it has SPF in it, it can sometimes make your face look pale in photos. I often put a little bit of tan on my face before applying the foundation.

4. L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation

I originally bought this when it first came out last summer, and used it religiously every day and loved it. It is medium to full coverage foundation and gives the most amazing coverage for a drugstore foundation. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin as it would be quite drying on the skin. There is another version of this foundation for dry skin.

5. Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation

I love the coverage with this camouflage foundation but i do find it gets quite oily on my t zone, but i have heard from other people with oily skin that it works for them. It covers absolutely everything and there is no need for concealer with this foundation. Another good thing about the foundation it it widely available in Pharmacies.

Hi guys, so my birthday is coming up shortly and I was looking for a really nice dress for it. I struggle quite a bit to find nice dresses as I am petite and most dresses I find are too long or just don't fit right and not many retailers have much choice in there petite sections. They stock petite brands such as chi chi, glamourous, jarlo, john zack (my favorite), lipstick boutique, little mistress, maya, new look, noisy may, paper dolls, tiger mist, vera moda and true decadance. All Time Favourite Hair Care Products

Hi guys I'm back with another post this time it is my all time favourite hair care products that have been a life saviour for me! These are products I absolutely love and keep my hair healthy looking.

Dove Argan oil spray-

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stuff. I originally bought it when it first came out and all the hype was around it but it ended up getting put in the back of the drawer until about a year ago I found my hair was getting very dry and unnamnagle, so I put few sprays of this into my hair and never looked back! I find this great to use after I had a shower as it helps to untangle the hair and leave it soft and shiny! I have had a bit of a problem lately trying to find it, but I know you can buy it in bigger boots stores and online. The reason why this is in German is because I bought a few of the sprays when I went over to Austria recently! I always stock up on this product. Can you tell I love it lol.

Loreal Fibrology Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner-

This is a new product I have been using a lot of lately. When I first started using this it did make my hair thicker but it recent weeks it only seems makes my hair feel smooth and shiny which I'm not complaining about. This is definitely a product i will be sticking too.

Keratase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil-

This is an old favourite of mine! It is quite expensive at €34 and I got mine in Peter Mark salon but You only need a small amount of this as a little goes a long way! I use this mainly when my hair is dry just to give it a little boost, it is definitely worth the money.

NYX Lip Pencils

Hi guys, I've never really been a big lip liner fan (never really knew how to apply them ha) but now lip liner is huge at the moment and there is plenty of tutorials around (mainly because of kylie Jenner) .

I have started using lip liners a lot recently and have to say I'm hooked! I wasn't sure what brand to go with when buying lip liners, I knew Mac have fabulous liners and I've heard great things about them but they are pretty expensive! It was only when I was searching for dupes I came across NYX! I was originally looking for dupe for Mac whirl and came across the shade mauve but unfortunately could not find this shade at any of the local stockists I went to.  Instead I bought the shade natural which is very similar to mauve! I use this shade mainly with velvet teddy and it's a great light brown shade. The other shades I bought are Prune 834, which is great paired with Mac rebel, Rose 840 is a lovely rose pink shade which is great paired with Mac Please Me, and finally Pale pink 854 which Is lovely paired with Loreal color Riche in doutzens shade.

(L-R pale pink, rose pink, natural, prune)

The liners have great pigmentation for the price and the colour goes on nicely on to the lips. It doesn't feel harsh on the lips either like some cheap liners can. I have a few other liners on my wish list and at €7.99 each where could you go wrong.

What brands of lip liners are your favourite?

How i clean my make up brushes

Every Thursday for me is the much dreaded weekly make up brush cleaning,  I try to wash my face brushes weekly because I use them the most and they get the dirtiest. I thought I would share with you how I clean them.

I have been using Johnstons baby shampoo for the last few years to clean my brushes but I found recently it did not thoroughly clean my brushes. I was in the hunt for a new cleaner, and I came across the Johnstons baby shampoo with camomile which was also on offer at buy one get one free (an offer I could not refuse). I think is cost me €3.45 which was a steal!

I start buy putting of dot of the shampoo on the palm of my hand (only a pea sized amount) and I swirl the brush in my hand trying to get as much make up off the brush as I can, I keep repeating this step until all the make up I can visibly see has come off. I then rinse the brush under the tap or in basin of water until there is no make up and shampoo left on the brush. I leave them to dry naturally overnight or as long as they need to dry.

I've also found from using this shampoo the bristles on the brushes are lot more softer and the make up comes off the brushes very easy with it.

What products do you use to wash your make up brushes?

Starbucks Gift Sets

As promised I'm back With a blog post :) I have a few more posts to come so bare with me! Today's post is on a few starbucks gift sets I picked up from Boots.

Starbucks Cocoa Duo Set

The first item I picked up was the hot cocoa gift set, this features two tall ceramic mugs with Starbucks logo in red and white. It also includes two hot cocoa sachets in salted caramel and hot cocoa, I'm looking forward to trying salted caramel as I've never tried it before and it sounds yummy! Also in this set are two chocolate coins and marshmallows which I have already eaten ha! I find the cups great, I find it keeps drinks hotter longer than any other mugs I have. This is a great set for any Starbucks lover and at €21.00 it won't break the bank!

Starbucks Cocoa Trio Set

I also picked up the cocoa trio set mainly because I wanted to try the sachets but didn't realise they were already in the cocoa gift set! This set has three tins each with one sachet of double chocolate, salted caramel and marshmallow hot cocoa. The only sachet that is not in the first gift set is the hot cocoa marshmallow, it is basically just hot chocolate with marshmallows in, the only bad thing about it was the marshmallows were a little hard but that was probably because they were in the sachet so long. Overall this is another great set and I will definitely use the tins as storage.

Starbucks Travel Mug

The last item I picked up was this travel mug mainly because it was 3 for 2 on all sets and it would be free! I haven't used this yet and I'm not sure I will get much use out of it but it's something I wanted as i don't have one! It's looks quite strong and well worth the price.

Even though I bought all these for myself (have to treat yourself every once in awhile, ha) I think these are perfect sets for anybody that likes Starbucks. Currently available online at Boots and in store.
